A close and insightful testimony that reflects not only a career, but also a way of understanding music—as a shared language, as emotion, and as purpose.

An Evening of Extraordinary Intensity

With the Orquestra de València, one of those rare experiences that leaves a lasting imprint and reminds us why we make music.

Deeply grateful to all my colleagues in the orchestra for their trust, generosity, and commitment to a shared sound.
It is a true privilege to work alongside a concertmaster such as Enrique Palomares and an exceptional soloist like Anna Fedorova.

Gregorio Nieto presents a deeply refined and compelling recital, where strength and sensitivity coexist with natural ease. His interpretation is marked by a strong sense of expression and contrast, moving effortlessly between moments of brilliance and more introspective passages. Under the precise and inspired direction of Josep Vicent, leading the London Symphony Orchestra, the result is a cohesive and distinguished recording—one that reveals a cellist with a clear artistic voice and a keen musical intelligence.

A resounding success marked the opening of ADDA·Simfònica’s 2025–26 season

Under the direction of Josep Vicent, ADDA·Simfònica launched its new symphonic season, Journey to Ithaca, last Friday, 3 October, to a sold-out hall and an overwhelming, electrifying ovation from the audience at the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante.

The programme featured the world premiere of ITACA, by Alicante-born composer Ximo Cano—dedicated to Josep Vicent and ADDA·Simfònica—alongside Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, performed with brilliance by Martín García García, and a powerful, deeply compelling interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

In the words of critic José Antonio Cantón (El Mundo, RITMO, Scherzo), it was “an absolutely historic performance, one that leaves you speechless.”

Prior to the concert, Josep Vicent offered an exclusive talk for subscribers, sharing the conceptual thread of the season—an inner journey and a constant search for beauty and emotion.

“Each concert will be a stage of the journey—an invitation to emotion, to risk, and to the sonic beauty that connects us all,” the maestro remarked.

Josep Vicent made his debut as the new Principal Conductor of the Argovia Philharmonic with a vibrant and captivating performance.

The season-opening concert took place at the Alte Reithalle in Aarau, launching the 2025/26 program “Célébration.” It was the orchestra’s first opportunity to present Vicent to its audience, and he immediately won their hearts with his music, energy, and approachable style.

The evening featured Latvian violinist Kristine Balanas as soloist in the Violin Concerto by Austrian-Hungarian composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Her performance combined dazzling virtuosity with lyrical sensitivity and expressive depth, earning warm and sustained applause.

Vicent, who describes himself as a conductor who offers “more inspiration than instruction,” succeeded in bringing the orchestra together while conveying freshness and genuine enthusiasm. Critics praised his communicative flair and expressive gestures, which infused both the musicians and the audience with energy.

The program also included Igor Stravinsky’s symphonic suite The Firebird, which the orchestra performed with remarkable brilliance under Vicent’s direction.

The enthusiastic audience demanded encores, and the evening ended in a true spirit of celebration and connection between musicians and listeners.
